I've always loved to draw, and I've always loved animals — but what really drives me is light. My subjects range widely — birds, wildlife, still life, and often a combination of all three — but what I'm really chasing in every piece is that moment where light and composition make something ordinary become extraordinary. I work in graphite and colored pencil, and I never get tired of what a little contrast can do.
