Working in colored pencil is a different world from graphite — and one I love stepping into. I've always had a deep appreciation for color, and this medium lets me explore it fully. To achieve the depth and richness I'm after, I build up multiple layers of color, blending them slowly until the surface takes on the warmth and luminosity of an oil painting. For someone whose art lives primarily in black and white, it's both a natural home and a wonderful challenge.
