These works combine graphite and colored pencil, allowing me to move between the quiet drama of black and white and the warmth of color — sometimes within the same drawing. By drawing on the strengths of both mediums — the depth and contrast of graphite, and the warmth and life that color brings — the result is something that feels neither purely one nor the other, but something wonderfully in between.
